Bobby Joe Hancock

Pastor

Bobby Joe has served as the Pastor at The Bridge since it all began in 2007. He was saved at the age of eight and surrendered his life to ministry at age nineteen. He has been blessed to serve as a youth pastor for ten years before beginning to pastor adults in 2005. He has been all over the world doing mission trips and enjoys building old VW’s as well. He has been married to his wife Whitney since 1997 and they have four children. His heart is for Rogersville and Hawkins County to come to Jesus and experience freedom that’s only found in Him. Bobby Joe is passionate about seeing men come to Jesus and seeing marriages and families saved and come into the family of The Bridge Church.

John Reeves

Worship Leader

John has been serving at The Bridge since its first service, with fifteen years as the Worship Leader. Although he grew up in church, the decision to surrender and follow Christ didn’t happen until he was nineteen. John has been married to Carla for thirty years and they have two awesome children, a great son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and the best grandson ever. John has also spent the past twenty-six years as a paramedic, which he is very passionate about. He believes one of the best parts about The Bridge is how you are considered family from day one.

Mike Chesser

Administrative Pastor

Mike Chesser and his family have served at The Bridge Church since 2012. He has served in the sound booth and on the leadership team as the Administrative Pastor. His wife Tracy sings and plays piano on the Worship Team. Mike and Tracy have two daughters: Abby Garland and Chloe Chesser, along with their son-in-law Blake Garland. All of them attend The Bridge together. Mike has worked in ministry at several churches and served as a houseparent for the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes in both the Millington and East TN campuses. Mike and his family choose The Bridge Church because of the freedom to worship and a passion to serve others.

Frankie Chesser

Leadership Team

Frankie has been serving at The Bridge since the beginning. He also serves on the Leadership Team, the Building and Grounds Team, and is the head of the Security Team, as well as serving numerous years with the youth and children’s ministries. He also has a passion for the Greeting Team. He was saved at the age of ten, but decided to make God his Lord over all on Easter Sunday 1998. Frankie has been blessed with his wife of thirty-six years, Tracey. They have three beautiful children and one awesome grandson. Frankie also loves fishing. His favorite part of The Bridge is loving on his church family and watching them grow closer to God. He loves giving and receiving hugs.

Brett Daniel

Youth Pastor

Brett has served as Youth Pastor since the summer of 2019. He came to faith in Christ in 2004 and has enjoyed doing ministry since 2008. Brett has been married to Jessica since 2007 and they have three boys. His favorite part about The Bridge Church is the sincerity and freedom that he can feel each time they gather. The Bridge has helped Brett’s faith in Christ to grow and provided some of his dearest friends.

Andrew Myers

Worship Leader

Andrew has been serving as the Worship Leader since January of 2022. He started a personal relationship with Christ in 2012. He grew up in ministry as the son of a pastor and in a family that sings. Andrew and his wife Ashton have been married since 2021, and he is the father of three children. He has enjoyed serving as a member of the Worship Team at The Bridge since 2016. His favorite thing about The Bridge is the family atmosphere....”You won’t do battle alone here at The Bridge. There will always be someone loving on you here.”
