“Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.”
Romans 8:18 NLT

Change.....I dread change more than anything. It makes me uncomfortable when I experience change. Not because change isn't good, but because I fear the unknown. I like being comfortable. I like predictable outcomes. I'm guilty of walking in the middle of the road and making sure the path is straight. Change in my life has come at a considerable cost. I'm not sure if it's because God tries to get my attention in subtle ways and I haven't responded, or I really have just strayed so far that I'm just not listening at all and He must get my attention. As difficult as it is to respond to change, I always find the Lord drawing me to Him during these times. Even though everything around me changes, God does not. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He also tells me ,when change comes, He is doing a new thing. “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
Embrace the change.

How does change affect your life? Do you meet it with the expectation that God is doing something new and that He can be trusted.... or do you fight against it and keep God in a place where you control Him? No matter how much effort is used to keep Him in a box, it can't be done.

Myself, and most of my household are autistic, so change is a curse word in our house. Our church is in the middle of transitions and changes right now it’s really difficult for us. But we stand firm in the scriptures and trust that God will make all things right if we surrender to His will.
