EVERYDAY MANNA

“Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation but rescue us from the evil one.”

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.”

For over a year, I have been learning this lesson. Lord, thank you for giving me everything I need to get through the day.
God is good every day. His mercies are new every day. His grace is sufficient every day. His love engulfs me every day. He provides for my needs every day. He wakes me up with a new song every day. He hears my heart's cry every day. He gives me the manna I need every day. Being in this season has been so utterly painful and difficult, but God is here with me each day. He is everything He says He is. He is the Alpha and Omega. He is my source of strength and hope. He is the lifter of my head and the one who binds my wounds. He is more than enough, and He loves me desperately. I cannot escape from His presence. Why would I want to? Though the enemy has come against me and my family, God is here each day pitching His tent in the middle of my war zone. I'm learning to trust Him for my daily bread. I'm learning the manna He provides is for today. I cannot live on what He provided for me yesterday. I am learning to expect and anticipate His provision for tomorrow because He says it will be there for me to partake. I look to the future with Him because I cannot imagine one without Him. He is everything I need.
