FEAR, BUT DON'T LIVE THERE

“I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.”
Psalms 34:4 NLT


I would love to think that my faith would eliminate all of my reasons to fear. The truth, for me at least, is that I still fear even though I trust God. Don't misunderstand me, even in fear I move forward, trusting that God knows better than I do. Inevitably, something in our life, at some point, even with great faith, is not going to end favorably in our own opinion. Even Jesus, as He prayed in the garden, felt fear. He knew what He was getting ready to face and He simply didn't want to do it. He was in anguish, so much so, he began sweating blood. This phenomenon is brought on by great amounts of stress. If anyone had a reason to be stressed, He did. Nevertheless, not my will, but Thine. What I do know, is that even in my greatest fear and times of worry, He is there. He will help me bear the weight even when I lack the vision to see just where I'm stepping. So, for me, it's more about trusting His provision after the storm. He will alleviate my fears, and I will see His favor again.
