MORE THAN ENOUGH

“I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. I will be filled with joy because of you. I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.” Psalms 9:1-2 NLT

It is amazing at the number of songs I know that give praise to God. More than that, it's amazing how many more songs will be written that will do the exact same thing. God's creativity is boundless, and I am certainly glad he has blessed so many writers to pen what my heart wants to say but didn't actually know how to say it. As much as I enjoy putting thoughts on paper (or digital media), they never seem to capture the song that is settled in my heart. I know it's there, and I feel it, but God has not yet let me express it in worship. Maybe my mind thinks too critically, and my thoughts lead to more questions than answers. Maybe, if I could just sit down and begin to tell the story of how he has loved me so much, I could express a portion of what's on my heart. Whatever comes from it would never begin to express just how good He really is. The thing about God is He is more than our feeble minds and words can express. Nevertheless, I will sing His praises as I am able.
