SING A NEW SONG

“Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, ‘The LORD is my inheritance; Therefore, I will hope in him!’ The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.”

Over the last several months, the Lord has helped me to wake up each morning by allowing me to hear a song.  I'm not referring to my alarm going off with a song playing, but a song he allows to stir in my spirit before I wake. I've not set an alarm to wake me up in years, yet each morning, I wake at approximately the same time. When the Lord started planting these songs in my heart as I woke, it just became a constant reminder of Him each day before my feet hit the floor, and I became consumed with the thoughts and routines that would pull at me as my day began. I'm so thankful that He is in my thoughts each morning as I rise. It is a daily reminder of Who I serve and how attentive He is to me personally.
